Josefine Hedlund chats with Alice Weightman about the importance of confidence and networking

Josefine Hedlund, Project Director of AnalogFolk NY, Co-Founder of Geek Girl Meetup, and winner of the Women of Tomorrow Awards 2016, chats with Alice Weightman on the Inspiring Stories podcast. Josefine shares her achievements, challenges, and advice for other women looking to succeed in the tech and creative industries today.

Josefine’s top tip?

“Go to events and get to know people in your industry. There are a lot of roles within the tech world that you might not even know about. Just go out, talk to people, find out what’s available to do and what you’re interested in. There are so many different things that you could do. Even though you might not have the exact right skillset for a role, you might have other experiences that makes you a better candidate. Don’t be afraid to ask.”
