‘Gems in Comms’ is a new podcast series launched by Hanson Search in association with 9to5workrebels, exploring working experiences of Black, Asian, and Ethnic Minority talent in the UK PR and Communications industry.

Hosted by Hanson Search Advisor Ebony Gayle, the series provides real experiences from established Black, Asian and Ethnic minority professionals working in the PR and communications industry sharing valuable and impactful insights about their career journeys, racism at work, thoughts on diversity and what makes a good working environment.

For our next ‘ Gems in Comms’ podcast episode we speak to Matt Brown, Communications and Corporate Affairs Director at Transport for London. Matt runs TFL’s media and government relations, stakeholder engagement and corporate communications. He supports the work of the Executive Team as advisor to the Commissioner.

Matt previously worked for the Mayor of London’s Press Office, the children’s charity Barnardo’s, and the online political think tank openDemocracy. He is a Fellow of the Public Relations and Communications Association, and in 2020, was awarded the Mark Mellor Award for Outstanding Contribution to the PR Industry.
