Hanson Search is partnering with Mission Partners, a certified B Corp, to help them find their next VP of Client Service. This fully remote leadership role is crucial in managing and growing relationships with clients, ensuring high-quality execution of comms strategies, and contributing to the overall growth and success of the agency.

Mission Partners guides purpose-driven organisations in realising their greatest social impact. They offer strategic planning, visioning, and communications services to foundations, nonprofit organisations, and social impact initiatives. Their work supports organisations during pivotal moments of transition, helping them increase their impact and amplify their stories.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and provide strategic guidance to a Director, helping them build expertise, drive results, and develop their leadership skills and fostering an inclusive and collaborative culture
  • Lead the development and implementation of client strategies, ensuring alignment with client goals and social impact objectives.
  • Oversee day-to-day client services, working closely with Directors to manage relationships, deliverables, and expectations.
  • Act as the main point of contact for senior-level clients, providing strategic counsel and ensuring that client projects are executed with excellence.
  • Build and maintain long-term relationships with clients, partners, and stakeholders, positioning Mission Partners as a trusted strategic partner.
  • Guide the agency’s strategic vision, driving innovative solutions to help clients achieve their communications and impact goals.
  • Oversee the design and execution of multi-channel campaigns, ensuring the seamless integration of strategy, messaging, creative, and implementation.
  • Contribute to the agency’s overall growth strategy by identifying new business opportunities and fostering client retention.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
  • Experience in a communications agency, with proven people management experience
  • Experience in managing nonprofit, foundation, and/or social impact client accounts
  • Strong expertise in leading strategy, content development, and implementation across nonprofits or social change organisations
  • Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving skills with a focus on delivering impact
  • Proven track record of managing and mentoring teams
  • High emotional intelligence and a customer service-oriented mindset
  • An entrepreneurial mindset, capable of thriving in a fully remote, fast-paced, and mission-driven environment
