My client is a leading strategic communications firm, specializing in communications across mergers and acquisitions, shareholder activism and crisis issues.

They are looking for a Senior Account Executive to join their Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) team, supporting the firm’s clients with stakeholder executive compensation, ESG priorities and effective sustainable business strategies.

The ESG team works closely with company executives and boards of directors to identify and address their critical ESG issues and develop strategic communications in support of their ESG programs and performance.

Successful Senior Account Executives are strong writers and thoughtful communicators who thrive on tackling challenging, fast-paced situations in a team-based environment.

Primary responsibilities include:

• Drafting and editing materials including CD&A disclosures, proxy filings, ESG performance and strategy memos, company sustainability reports, investor and board presentations, infographics, Q&As and other materials
• Conducting executive compensation and ESG ratings benchmarking research
• Identifying shareholder ESG priorities and engagement strategies
• Interacting with clients to understand their goals and to present materials
• Assisting with logistics for   webinars and ESG events 

Candidates should possess the following:

• 4-5 years’ of experience, ideally within an investor stewardship or corporate executive compensation team in a publicly traded company
• Experience with managing proxy disclosures, including the CD&A
• Proficiency with office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• Intellectual curiosity with an interest in Wall Street, the financial markets and the media
• Top-notch critical thinking and writing skills
• Ability to think creatively and collaborate across multiple teams and competing priorities under time pressure
• Exceptional attention to detail
