We are working closely with a leading communications agency who are committed to help shape the future through science and technology. Our client is looking to hire an experienced and accomplished individual to become their Scientific and Editorial Lead/Writer to join their Healthcare’s integrated communication and education team.

Key responsibilities:

  • To give guidance and support to the Healthcare team as well as the wider company business
  • Reviewing and editing a wide range of scientific and medical communications documents – this would include the development of complex documents that would require a deep understanding of strategic and scientific concepts
  • Management of internal team as well as mentoring and oversight of team members including the monitoring of their longer-term career development
  • Ensuring editorial excellence as well as identifying the tools and strategy for the client or team to always enforce the best processes possible
  • Provide effective counsel to clients and be prepared to lead on formal meetings with the client
  • Identify exciting new potential business opportunities in addition to keeping up to date on the current scientific and editorial advances

Key requirements:

  • Considerable experience within the medical/integrated communications consultancies
  • Past proven ability in dealing with senior scientific and editorial counsel to clients and consultancy teams
  • The ability to review at a senior level
  • Excellent presentation and writing skills with a close eye to detail – particularly when writing the relevant medical documentation and content
  • The ability to form long lasting client relationships and act as a role model for aspiring writers and content developers
  • A background in science is preferable with a MSc or PhD a bonus
