Key Responsibilities for the Public Affairs Director:
  • Lead and expand the energy and infrastructure specialism within an established public affairs team, supporting clients across diverse and complex issues.
  • Deliver high-level strategic counsel in public affairs, manage client relationships, and ensure consistent service quality.
  • Drive new business growth by networking, developing proposals, and pitching for opportunities in the energy and infrastructure sectors.
  • Leverage your network to provide clients with up-to-date insights on political and policy developments, particularly within the Labour government.
  • Mentor team members, develop consulting tools and thought leadership, and uphold commercial and service excellence.
Public Affairs Director Key Requirements:
  • Significant experience within the energy and infrastructure sectors, gained through consultancy, in-house roles, government, or a related field.
  • Proven ability to advise clients effectively and build integrated public affairs strategies tailored to client needs.
  • Demonstrated success in generating new business, ideally with a track record of commercial growth within a consultancy setting.
  • Established connections across political, civil service, and industry stakeholders; Labour party connectivity is a strong asset.
  • Able to navigate complex policy landscapes and deliver strategic public affairs solutions.
