Our client is a global integrated communications consultancy, currently experiencing rapid growth in France. They are dedicated to developing their business in a meaningful and sustainable manner, making this a highly exciting time to become part of their team. 

They are seeking an ambitious public affairs professional to manage client accounts and drive business growth across variety of sectors: energy, transport, agri-food, real estate etc. You would be leading French and international client accounts independently with multiple target audiences, requiring a strong ability to take charge, discern client requirements and proactively address them.

Key Responsibilities:   

  • Overseeing prominent public affairs accounts, providing effective account management and strategic guidance.
  • Acting as the main client liaison on a day-to-day basis, ensuring seamless communication and support.
  • Leading client meetings and offering expert political counsel to address their needs.
  • Creating comprehensive political briefing materials and managing parliamentary correspondence.
  • Nurturing and expanding client relationships; identifying potential leads and areas of growth with existing clients, as well as broader new business leads. 
  • Contributing to our department’s marketing strategy and participating in events. 
  • Training and guiding junior team members and contributing to company culture.

Key Requirements:   

  • Demonstrates a strong grasp of both politics and policy development processes, preferably from a public affairs agency background.
  • Previous experience in the public sector is a plus.
  • Knowledge of managing day-to-day operations of client accounts, responding to client requests, delegating tasks and working with the senior team. Ability to manage clients’ budgets, prioritise and meet deadlines.
  • Proficiently converts new business opportunities into revenue, showcasing commercial acumen.
  • Exhibits exceptional problem-solving skills, creativity, and strategic thinking. Naturally curious, with a desire to stay up to date with the current industry trends.
  • Displays excellent written and verbal communication abilities, along with confident networking skills.
  • Acts as a supportive, motivational leader with a personal drive for the industry, adapting personal approach and maintaining composure in challenging situations.
