Our client is looking for a Media Relations Specialist (Account Director or Senior Account Director) to join their team in London at a time of exciting growth. The role would be ideal for someone who comes from agency or consultancy who’s excited by media relations, has strong connections, and enjoys solving complex problems for a diverse range of clients from live music to energy and industrials.

Key Requirements:
- Agency background strongly preferred
- Proven experience in developing and implementing media relations strategies and tactics
- Ability to lead day to day accounts and mentor teams in media relations activity
- Possess excellent media relationships across broadcast, print and digital in the UK and with global top tier media titles
- Confidence and gravitas to be able to advise clients on complex challenges
- A strategic thinker who can devise and implement creative and impactful campaigns
- A team player with a passion for news, culture, and current affairs
Key Responsibilities:
- Act as counsel to clients, supporting the development of their media relations strategies and securing outstanding media coverage
- Building and maintaining networks across media to stay abreast of people moves, trends and developments
- Writing and editing communications materials
- Leading proactive and reactive media relations either on your own or with colleagues
- Providing leadership and guidance to peers and colleagues on delivering outstanding media relations activity
