Our client, a leading EMEA e-commerce platform, is embarking on an exciting phase of growth and is in search of a seasoned professional to fill the role of CEE Lead of Corporate Communications. The CEE Lead of Corporate Communications will be based in either Berlin or Bucharest, with a focus on targeting key markets such as Germany, Poland, Czech, Slovenia, Hungary, Bulgaria, Greece and Romania. As a key member of the senior management team, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the company’s corporate communications strategy and enhancing its reputation in the CEE market.

Key responsibilities:

  • Lead corporate communications initiatives, including crisis management, sustainability campaigns, and brand development.
  • Manage media relations and cultivate positive relationships with journalists and influencers in the e-commerce, fashion, and retail sectors.
  • Organise and coordinate events to enhance the company’s reputation and visibility in the CEE market.
  • Provide strategic counsel to senior leadership on communication strategies and initiatives.
  • Identify and capitalise on new business opportunities to drive commercial growth for the division and the wider business.

Key requirements:

  • Proven track record in corporate, crisis, sustainability, and brand communications, with a specialised focus on the e-commerce, fashion, or retail domains.
  • Holds a bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant fields, showcasing a solid foundation for strategic engagement, relationship building, and negotiation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to take initiative, operate independently, and effectively manage agency relationships to achieve organisational goals.
  • Exceptional organisational prowess, adept at juggling multiple priorities and projects within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Preference for candidates with prior experience in dynamic tech companies or startups, complemented by a background in agency work or a cultural alignment with fast-paced environments.
