A market leading premium finance company is looking for a Head of Communications to join its team in London.

Reporting directly to the CEO, this role is pivotal to enhancing and protecting the reputation of the company through the design and execution of a dynamic communications strategy.

To be successful in this role, they’re looking for someone who can work strategically and quickly. Someone who is confident advising on communication strategy at Board level, but also isn’t afraid to roll their sleeves up!

Role outline

The Head of Communications will lead the overall corporate communications strategy.

More specifically, this role will;

  • Collaborate with leadership and the board to create a comprehensive corporate communication strategy
  • Maintain a 2-year Corporate Communications activity calendar to ensure timely and relevant communications
  • Strategically align communications to enhance the brand and engage target audiences
  • Create and implement communication plans for crises, issues, and emergencies
  • Plan and execute communication strategies for potential future sales processes
  • Act as the corporate spokesperson, responding to media queries promptly and maintaining robust relationships with the media
  • Maintain relations with key associations, including Networks, BIBA, NACFB, ISBA, and ABI
  • Produce external thought leadership content, press releases, and speeches
  • Assist leadership in developing presentations, speeches, and other corporate messages

Person specification

The ideal candidate will have proven success delivering complex communications strategies in an insurance/lending business.

They will easily demonstrate how they can work commercially, provide leadership and deliver results whilst continuously developing themselves.

More specifically, the ideal candidate will:

  • Have a background in leading corporate communications in lending/insurance from either an agency or inhouse environment
  • Have a large media network with the ability to maintain relationships with journalists and regulators
  • Exceptional content writing skills in thought leadership, speeches and presentations
  • Proven success in being a strategic advisor to C-suite and Board level
