A financial regulatory agency in Dubai is looking for a Director of Corporate Communications. You will join a department responsible for enhancing stakeholder relations and supporting the agency’s objectives, maintaining brand equity and safeguarding reputation through strategic messaging via media channels.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop and lead the external and internal communication strategy in line with their vision, mission, corporate objectives and organisational strategy. Lead the international and regional engagement, including co-operation on a bilateral and multilateral basis with regional and international counterparts, as well as managing the engagement with the global financial standard setters.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Contribute to developing and implementing the companies integrated communication strategy aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Proactively advance thought leadership, by offering strategic communications counsel to senior leadership and by growing media relations to promote and raise the profile of the
  • Ensure alignment of departmental business plans with overall strategy and monitor performance.
  • Develop and execute integrated communications strategic plan.
  • Manage Crisis & Reputation Management strategy.
  • Foster relationships with standard setters, regulators, and government institutions.
  • Liaise with local and national government departments on relevant matters.
  • Oversee the Corporate Affairs and International Relations policies and procedures and where necessary direct changes to enhance the effectiveness of the departments.

Key Requirements:

  • Professional experience in either a government, multinational organisation, or a corporate government affairs office, or a policy focused research organisation.
  • Public and private sector experience, preferably with significant exposure to financial services.
  • Proven experience as an effective public spokesperson, communicator, and advocate.
  • Excellent organisational and leadership skills, business acumen and the ability to work efficiently, prioritize workflow, deal with ambiguity, meet demanding deadlines and manage multi-dimensional projects.
  • Excellent oral, written, presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to analyse data and market trends, identify new opportunities or risks.
  • Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, in relevant field.
