Our client, one of the most prestigious corporate advisory consultancies in the world, has partnered with us to help them find their next Associate Director or Director on their specialist team focussing on foundations, non-profits, and philanthropic organisations.

In this role, you will advise clients and drive execution on accounts, focusing on the delivery of workstreams and proactive development of ideas. Clients include the biggest and most impactful global foundations, philanthropists, and multilateral organizations combatting the greatest challenges of our time.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Drive execution on client accounts, overseeing workflow and key elements such as client calls and document drafts
  • Advise clients on various issues and communication disciplines with support from Partners, leveraging independent experience and insights
  • Understand complex sector issues and stakeholder attitudes, including media, politicians/regulators, NGOs, and other relevant groups
  • Manage intricate media and policy interactions using advanced knowledge of media and stakeholder landscapes
  • Play a key role in team management, supporting smooth transitions and serving as a mentor to junior team members; actively participate in drafting new business proposals and engage in pitch meetings

Key Requirements:

  • Background in the philanthropic space or experience working with global corporate or charitable foundations, global health and development organisations, NGOs, or government in a comms function
  • Proven ability to advise clients and senior stakeholders on complex strategic issues within the philanthropy sector
  • Deep understanding of the intersection of business, politics, and society, particularly in relation to the philanthropy sector
  • Proven track record of driving new business and developing a commercial offer
  • Established network of leading thinkers, campaigners, and business leaders, and an expert client handler
