Global Head of Sustainability – Agriculture, UAE

Exciting role for a Global Head of Sustainability professional to lead strategic and operational sustainability within the food and agriculture sector. Global Head of Sustainability Role:

This role will place you at the forefront of sustainability efforts across international agricultural operations. You will work closely with C-suite leadership, acting as a strategic partner and providing guidance on sustainability issues, aligning initiatives with business strategy, and contributing to value creation and financial growth. Key Responsibilities for Global Sustainability Lead:

• Technical Sustainability and Farming Expertise: Drive sustainability practices across agricultural operations, focusing on decarbonisation, water conservation, biodiversity, and soil management.  Ensuring metric and performance tracking.
• Strategic and Financial Leadership: Shape the sustainability agenda to support business growth and equity value creation. Communicate effectively with stakeholders, including investors and finance teams, to translate sustainability initiatives into business opportunities.
• ESG Due Diligence and Reporting: Lead ESG due diligence processes to assess social, environmental, and governance factors. Provide operational guidance for risk management and compliance across all sustainability metrics.
• Stakeholder Management and Communication: Serve as a bridge between various stakeholders, including executive leadership, farm operations, and community relations. Develop strategies that align with corporate values while fostering positive stakeholder engagement.

Experience required for the Head of Sustainability role:

• Extensive experience in sustainability within the food and agriculture sector.
• Strong technical expertise in sustainability, including exposure to decarbonisation models, water conservation, and operational best practices.
• Proven track record in ESG frameworks, sustainability due diligence, and value-driven strategy development.
• Experience in finance or sustainable finance frameworks, with the ability to communicate effectively with financial stakeholders.
• Strong stakeholder management and interpersonal skills, with experience in navigating complex organisational landscapes.
• Willingness to be based in the UAE, with international travel to international farming operations as required.
