Hanson Search have partnered with one of the leading, Investment Management institutions assisting with the recruitment of a Senior Communications Executive on a fixed term basis, London based*.

Our client is looking for a Senior Communications Executive to join on a fixed term basis to cover a maternity leave. You will be a proactive, organised, a creative self-starter who is seeking the opportunity to build out you experience within the Investment Management sector. You will be a Public Relations assistant or executive from in-house or an Account Exec / Manager from agency.

Key responsibilities:
  • Support on day-to-day media relations, from handling press queries to preparing press releases and Q&As.
  • Prepare and implement press plans for events and proactive stories.
  • Draft high quality written copy for everything from social media posts, to press notices.
  • Actively monitor media coverage and identify journalists and stories that can be leveraged.
Key requirements:
  • Excellent communicator: articulate and succinct.
  • Experience of working in a media relations team in a PR agency, a political party, a government department, or a financial services firm press office with experience of:
    • PR and media relations
    • drafting press releases and Q&As
    • social media and digital campaigns
    • preparing briefing materials for interviews
  • Strong people skills and ability to build relationships with journalists, colleagues and members.
  • Excellent time management skills, ability to juggle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritise to deliver on time.
  • Knowledge of financial services
