Our client, a global leader in the energy and power space, is seeking a Head of Government & Institutional Relations to join their UAE office to lead on government and institutional affairs across the entire MENA region. This is a newly created position within the organisation’s global structure.
Reporting to the Global VP of Government Relations, the Head of Government & Institutional Relations will ensure compliance with external regulatory requirements and will implement relevant policies and procedures to ensure the organisation is best represented with government and regulatory institutes for the MEA region.
The ideal candidate will have 12 + years of experience in government relations/public affairs/institutional relations and will have proven experience leading in corporate or public functions, preferably with knowledge of the power/energy or utilities sectors.
Key Responsibilities:
To be considered for this role you must have proven experience leading government and institutional relations within a global environment, you will be extremely familiar with government and public affairs in the UAE, and surrounding MEA region including Saudi Arabia. A working knowledge and understanding of the energy/power/utilities space is advantageous as well as a keen interest in sustainability related activities.
