Our client is a prominent healthcare logistics firm closely associated with the NHS, dedicated to sourcing, delivering, and supplying healthcare products, services, and food to NHS trusts and healthcare organisations across England and Wales. They serve all NHS Trusts and manage a comprehensive network of distribution centres throughout the country, ensuring the seamless flow of vital resources within the healthcare sector.

They are offering a 12-month contract for Corporate Communications and Stakeholder Lead, who will be responsible for designing and implementing the PR and external communications strategy to strengthen the organisation’s brand and reach. This will include social media to raise brand awareness across all channels. The role holder will be required to build and maintain strong relationships with media, NHS England and other relevant bodies. They will lead on all crisis communications and will help position NHS Supply Chain as business thought leaders both within and outside of the healthcare arena.

Key responsibilities:

  •  Media and Corporate Communications Strategy: Develop and execute a strategic media and social media plan aligned with corporate priorities, securing buy-in from stakeholders. Provide advisory support to senior colleagues and executive team members.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Implement engagement strategies and plans across the program to identify and build working relationships with relevant stakeholders. Ensure equitable representation at project and program levels.
  • Event Strategy Management: Create and oversee event strategies, manage logistics, and demonstrate return on investment for all events. Direct the logistics team responsible for event execution.
  • Leadership and Communication: Communicate actions required to implement the function’s strategy, aligning with the organization’s mission, vision, and values. Motivate teams to commit to achieving local business goals.
  • Content Development and Management: Create critical business content, such as press releases and speeches, for internal and external audiences, ensuring effective and creative message delivery.
  • Data-Driven Decisions: Leverage data and analytics to shape future media and social media releases, measure ROI in communication solutions, and drive continuous improvement based on established metrics.
  • Budget Management: Deliver budget plans for specific organisational areas and conduct complex analyses to track budget progress in other parts of the organisation.

Key requirements:

  • Matrix Organisation Experience: Proficient in managing complex projects involving multiple stakeholders within a matrix organisation.
  • Corporate Communications Expertise: Demonstrated mastery in corporate communications and stakeholder management.
  • Planning and Organising: Skilled in prioritising, planning, and organising teams and activities to achieve business objectives efficiently.
  • Data Analysis: Proficient in data collection and analysis for shaping future campaigns and demonstrating ROI.
  • Action Planning: Proficient in developing and executing plans based on recommendations and requirements.
  • Verbal Communication: Proficient in clear and effective verbal communication, offering guidance and training to others.
  • Adaptive Mindset: Ability to adapt to different scenarios with a focus on addressing customer needs with simplicity.
